If you need to cancel your Komo AI subscription, you can do so at any time through the Stripe Customer Portal. Your access will continue until the end of your current billing period.

How to Cancel Your Subscription

Step 1: Access Your Account Settings

Click on your profile icon in the bottom left corner of the Komo AI interface.

Step 2: Navigate to Billing

From the menu that appears, select Billing. You’ll see your current plan status, renewal date, and credit usage.

Step 3: Open Subscription Management Popup

Click the Change Plans or Manage Subscription button in the Billing Status page. This will open a popup showing your current plan details and available plan options.

Step 4: Access Stripe Customer Portal

In the subscription popup that appears, you’ll see your current plan and available options. Click the Manage Subscription button of the popup. This will redirect you to the secure Stripe Customer Portal where you can manage your subscription settings.

Step 5: Cancel Your Subscription

Once in the Stripe Customer Portal:
  1. Look for the Cancel subscription or Cancel plan option
  2. Click on it to begin the cancellation process
  3. Stripe may ask for feedback about why you’re canceling (optional)
  4. Confirm your cancellation

Step 6: Confirmation

You’ll receive a confirmation email from Stripe confirming your subscription cancellation. Your access to paid features will continue until the end of your current billing period.

What Happens After Cancellation?

Immediate Effects

  • Your subscription is marked as “Canceled” in the system
  • No future charges will be made

Until End of Billing Period

  • You retain full access to all paid features
  • Your credits and usage limits remain active
  • All your data and playbooks are preserved

After Billing Period Ends

  • Your account automatically downgrades to the Free plan
  • Access to premium features is removed
  • Your data and playbooks are preserved but may have limited access based on Free plan limits
  • Background agents and advanced features are disabled
Credits do not roll over and will expire at the end of your billing period.

Reactivating Your Subscription

Changed your mind? You can reactivate your subscription at any time:
  1. Navigate to Billing from your profile menu
  2. Click Upgrade or Manage Subscription
  3. Select your desired plan
  4. Complete the checkout process
If you reactivate within the same billing period, you’ll regain immediate access to your previous plan’s features.

What Happens to Your Data?

Your Content is Safe

  • Playbooks: All your agent playbooks are preserved
  • Documents: Files in your Data Room remain accessible (subject to Free plan limits)
  • Research: Your research history and structured research tables are saved
  • Integrations: Integration connections are maintained but may have limited functionality on Free plan

Free Plan Limitations

After your subscription ends, you’ll have:
  • Limited access to Search and Research
  • Basic AI models only
  • No access to advanced agent playbooks
  • No background agents
  • No access to premium features like Structured Research and Data Room

Troubleshooting

Can’t Find Cancel Option?

  • Ensure you’re in the Stripe Customer Portal (not the Komo AI Billing page)
  • Try refreshing the page
  • Clear your browser cache and try again
  • Check if you’re logged into the correct Stripe account

Cancellation Not Processing?

  • Check your internet connection
  • Try using a different browser
  • Disable browser extensions that might interfere
  • Contact Stripe support directly if the issue persists

Already Canceled but Still Being Charged?

This shouldn’t happen, but if it does:
  • Check your email for cancellation confirmation from Stripe
  • Verify the cancellation date in the Customer Portal
  • Contact [email protected] immediately with your receipt
We’ll investigate and issue a refund if you were charged in error.

Want to Pause Instead of Cancel?

Unfortunately, Komo AI doesn’t currently offer a pause option. You can:
  • Downgrade to a lower-tier plan to reduce costs
  • Cancel and reactivate when you’re ready to return
